The Client
Shakas is a UK based water sports company, specialising in skimboards. Skimboarding is a boardsport where a skimboard is used to glide across the water's surface and ride a breaking wave back to shore.
The Project
As a new start-up business, Shakas needed an identity creating. The logo was created to represent the energy, personality and attitude associated with the sport. Having been named after the shaka gesture used for greeting in surf culture, I incorporated this into the logo to separate the final 's' as requested by the client.
